The course is run from my workshop. You are here from 9.30am to 4pm for five days
Requirements
A basic knowledge of electric or mechanics is an advantage but not essential.
Introduction:
This course is aimed at adult students who may wish to become employed or self employed within the Repair & Service of Washing Machines. Course design and delivery ensure that students are ‘fast tracked’ to a competent standard. Opportunities are provided for the student to investigate and diagnose `White Goods` equipment gaining a sound working knowledge.
The course is predominantly 'hands on'. It is an intensive 'Fast-Track' Course.
You will spend five days (three day version also available) learning repairs in a workshop environment where you will learn part identification, and how to test, remove & replace each component. More importantly, you will also be on the road with an engineer to watch and learn how to do the job in customer's homes.
Study Mode & Location:
This five day (9.30am to 4pm) course lasts for 30 hours and will be held at my workshop.
Day 1 - 4: Washing Machine Repair and Service
Day 5: Tumble Dryer Repair and Service
The course runs on a one to one basis. There are, therefore, no set dates and the start date would be up to the client.
The course includes a comprehensive written guide to aid with diagnosis and other reference material .
The course also includes help with advertising, dealing with customers, pricing of jobs, buying parts etc.
The course does not include accommodation or meals. Details of a nearby hotel will be provided.

Assessment:
Throughout the course students will be encouraged to acquire and demonstrate their skill and knowledge through ongoing assessments
Careers & Progression Opportunities:
There is no direct progression following the successful completion of this course.
